MASTS, BOOMS, EXTENSIONS, BASES, HARNESS LINES
and other miscellaneous items.
SAILS and BOARDS and any other items
not in stock can be special ordered
with a delivery date normally within 2 weeks.
Most major brands are available.

WindSense also operates Gene's Consignment Shop
selling QUALITY USED GEAR at very reasonable prices.
The gear is physically located at WindSense which is convenient
to Atlanta's main sailing site on Lake Lanier, Van Pugh Park.

BEGINNER WINDSURFING LESSONS are also available through WindSense.
Windsurfing Basics is designed to have you windsurfing quickly and safely.
The 2 + hour lesson is a private, one on one lesson
and is taught locally at Lake Lanier.

BEGINNER RENTAL GEAR is also available.
For true beginners, an exceptional beginner/teaching board,
the Bic Nova 240D, and small sails are available.
For the more advanced beginner,
we have the Kona One with a 6.0 sail.
It is WindSense’s policy NOT to rent gear to
individuals who do not know the basic required skills.
Lessons and rental gear are available from Mid-May through Mid-September.

Of course we have the latest products from
CHINOOK and DAKINE.

Windsurfing in Atlanta
Atlanta has a very active Windsurfing community. Lakes around Atlanta include Lake Lanier, Lake Allatoona, and Lake Juliette. The main sailing site is Van Pugh Park on Lake Lanier, (only 2 minutes from WindSense.) Other sailing sites include Lanier's Vann's Tavern, Allatoona's Galt's Ferry and Lake Juliette. The windy season is September thru May, with a hard-core group sailing throughout the winter. Atlanta has one of the oldest Windsurfing Clubs in the nation, the Atlanta Board Sailing Club, which has monthly meetings and other activities.
