RECENT SESSIONS

Saturday, 8/23 - One more time, another great day in August!! Warm and Windy (E/NE), big crowd, Windier in the AM but blew all day. Sail sizes were around 6.0, some bigger and some smaller. I sailed my 6.0 and 115 liter and my new 86 liter Fanatic FreeWave (in August at Lanier.) Fun Factor TEN of TEN.

Friday, 8/22 - Another great day in August due to TS FAY. Sail sizes were mainly 6.0 +/-, stronger in the morning but blew all day. I sailed my 6.0 on 115 liter board. Big Crowd of around 20 Sailors. Fun Factor of NINE of 10, (Hard wind in AUG and lots of sailors.)

Thursday, 8/21 - Early start to the FALL sailing season thanks to Tropical Storm Fay! Decent Wind (E/NE,) Warm, Good Crowd, about 10 sailors. Sail sizes mainly 7.0-7.5 with a 5.2 and 9.0. I sailed my 7.5 and 115 liter board, and sailed from Van Pugh up to Vanns Tavern to see the Kiters. Very good day with fun factor of 8 of 10.

Tuesday, 8/12 - Marcel and I sailed Van Pugh, Wind was a little lite for me on my 7.5 / 115 liter but Marcel nailed it with his 8.5 and 160 liter Techno. Fun Factor 3 of 8, (Marcel's probably 8 of 10.)

Sat 8/9 - morning session on 7.5/115 liter, East wind died by noon, but fun factor of 7 of 10, it is August.

Fri 8/8 - Flew Kite at Van Pugh as wind was lite, then wind came up, sailed 7.5/115 for quick session late. PLANED in August! Fun Factor 6 of 10.

Thursday, 7/31 - Pretty good time considering the wind. I did plane on my 7.5 and 115 liter board but the wind dropped, then I sailed and Paddled (SUPed) the KONA. Barrett actually planed a good bit and we also played with Chris V and David W's Hobbies. Barrett's Peggy also joined us. Fun factor 5 of 10.

Monday, 6/30 - Another great SUMMER session. It blew all afternoon until dark, fairly windy for this time of year. We had a good crowd, sailing all sail sizes. I sailed the 7.5 on 115 liter. Fun factor 10 of 10.

Fri, 6/27 - Sailed Kona (220 liters) and 7.5 at Old Federal, ALONE, beat not sailing, but fun factor was only 5 of 10.

Tues, 6/17 - One of the nicest days I can remember. Warm and fairly windy, steady, good direction, good crowd. I sailed my 7.5 / 115 liter board. Some sailors started a little bigger and ended up a little smaller but the 7.5 seemed perfect for me. I have to give it a 10 out of 10 on the fun factor scale.

JEKYLL ISLAND TRIP -
Fri, 6/07-drive, nothing, Sat-nothing
Sun-around 10 mph,7.5 Kona (David W & Alan Sloman)
Monday - Wind, 7.5 Kona, then Tabou Rocket 115 (nice), then KiteBOARDED. (Barret & Peggy and Mark W)
Tues- Storm Cloud Wind, 20mph PLUS, 6.0 on 100 liter board, SideOFF, Alittle Scarey direction.
Wed - More wind from the storm clouds, sailed 6.0 on 100 liter board for about an hour, then helped David Delozier with his kite but wind shut on down.
Thurs - Jerry Farr joined us, He kited, David D and I attempted to Kite, wind was too much OnShore, and missed the low tide so couldnt get going before running out of water.
Friday - headed home, GOOD TRIP, with good crowd of different people coming and going.

Saturday, 5/31 - Nice Day, some wind. It didnt blow hard but we had a good crowd sailing the big stuff. I had some new toys to play with (KONA, new WindSense rental board, and TABOU Rocket 115) so I had a real good time. Sailors included Nolan, Randy, Marcel, Barret (with Peggy), Joe O, Jim Crooks, Albert, Chris P and Mike "my friend". I sailed my 7.5 on 115 ltr, fun factor 8 of 10.

Sunday 5/18 - Warm! Sailed 7.5 and 6.0 on 130 ltr, then 6.0 on 100 ltr. Wind came up real strong real quick, was way overpowered on 6.0, fin walking, spinout, etc. Made it back in one piece but did scare me alittle (actually alot.) Fun day though.

Friday 5/16 - sailed 7.5 on 130 ltr, actually was windier than that, could have/should have rigged down to 6.0.

Monday, 5/12 - Started on 7.5, 130 ltr, then 5.2 on 130 and 100 ltr. Good turnout, good time.

Sunday 5/11 - It was survival sailing, sailed 5.2 and 4.5 on 100 ltr and Wild board (80? ltr) See pictures above.

Sunday 2/10 A VERY EXCITING DAY! The wind pretty gusty (5 to 30+) and very strong. It was survival sailing.. I sailed my 5.2 on 102 liter board most of the day and went down to the 4.5 at the end. It was a lot of fun, kind of.

2/9 - Sailed at LLSC, 7.5 130 liter

Friday, 2/01-Turned out to be a really good day. I sailed 6.0 and 7.5 on 130 liter

Thursday,1/31 Pretty Nice! I got on the water at 1:00 and sailed until a little after 3:00. Windy, out of the east, mid 40s but sunny, very flat. I sailed my 6.0 on the 130 liter board (thought it was going to be gusty but wasnt.) The only negative was sailing alone, still fun, just not as much.

Tuesday, 1/15 – Not as windy as Monday but not bad. I sailed my 7.5/130 liter. Fun Factor 7 of 10.

Monday, 1/14 – Pretty windy at times. I sailed my 7.5/130 liter. Fun Factor 8 of 10 mainly due to not sailing for 2 weeks.
